Youth League Information

The youth league season for 2009-2010 is over. Please stay tuned for registration information for the 2010-2011 season. Below is information on our youth league.

Hockey Swap

SIHL has donated equipment that it makes available to any player who needs it. All we ask is that equipment is returned when the player is finished with it.

Age Division Information

8 and Under

The 8 and Under division is purely instructional. Skaters are taught how to skate forwards and backwards and some of the basic fundamentals of the game such as stick handling, passing and shooting. They will also be taught basic rules and what the differnt parts of the rink are and how they are used in games. Scrimmage games will be played towards the end of the season but without referee's or score keepers.

10 thru 17 and Under

The 10 and Under thru 17 and Under age divisions are a recreational competitive level. Each team will get 1 practice and 1-2 games per week. Each game will have 2 referee's and a scorekeeper. Statistics for each game and player will be kept and posted on this website and in the display case at the rink (hanging on the east side of the bleachers).
